Let me start by telling a short story: My mom tells me that when I was 1, we flew from Washington State to Alaska for my Uncles wedding. We were flying out around midnight, and from the moment we took off, I stared, smiling and exited, out the window for hours.
A 1 year old excited to fly? I don’t know how common that is, but I’m feeling the same childish excitement now as I’m sitting in the airport in Kelona BC. It’s finally setting in that I’m heading out on my first international adventure. This is something that I’ve been dreaming of, and ultimately what I have been studying to do. We will see what I think about this experience as I continue to go on this adventure and reflect on it.
So, our trip will take us through 6 different countries:
- Canada
- Germany
- Croatia
- Bosnia & Herzegovina
- Montenegro
- Ireland
The first stop is in Kelona Canada, and then Vancouver before we head over to Europre where we will land in Germany. From there, we will head to Split Croatia!
Vancouver Update: This airport is so stunning. Wish I had a little less than three and a half hours in it, but still.
From Vancouver, it’s going to be 10.5 hours to Munich Germany! Hoping that there are good movies on the flight and that maybe I can get a little sleep!
Didn’t actually get any sleep on the flight, but did meet some really cool and inspiring people. I can already tell this isn’t going to be my last time across the pond (: Only an hour long flight to Split to go! Dianne and I got in trouble from the flight attendants already for being out of our seats and socializing ahaha. The fun has begun!
Officially in Croatia as of 5:00pm our time! Looks like our adventure is about to officially start!
