Get ready to gain some elevation with this one, and in the heat to boot! On the way up Camelback Mountain, you will gain nearly 1,200 feet in elevation. The hike took me about 2 hours in the heat, so I would guess somewhere around that for time frame. This place is super easy to find, but you DO need to make sure you park in a designated parking area. This spot is very popular for tourists and locals alike, and police monitor the parking area rigorously.

The trail is very steep, but the top offers unmatched views over the Metropolitan Phoenix area.
